WELCOME COACHES

Pray for your Players.
Every week, choose a different player and pray The Praying Athlete's prayer on their behalf. Pray that they begin to pray this prayer for themselves. Pray that you are the coach God called you to be. Pray that you challenge your players to be the best version of themselves that they can be.

Read the prayer aloud.
Before practice begins or practice is dismissed, read The Praying Athlete's prayer aloud to your team. Allow it to be drilled into your mind and your players' minds as you practice together and improve together.

Write in your Playbook.
Flip through your playbook or practice book and write down a few sentences of the TPA Prayer on random pages. When you are flipping through it during practice, you will be able to see the prayer and focus on the sentences you wrote down on a particular practice day.

Create a Prayer Challenge.
Come up with "prayer challenges" each week for your team. When you communicate with your team about scheduling, include one of these "prayer challenges" in your form of communication. Ask them to complete the challenge before their next game or practice. For example, ask them to pray for one thing they have never prayed for before.

Pray for your Assistant Coaches.
Keep in touch with what is going on in the lives of your assistant coaches. Tell them that you are thankful for them and that you appreciate them more often than you do. Meet with them and pray the TPA prayer with them. Personalize the prayer in a way that applies to their lives at the moment.
